Kappa Psi is proud to host Dr. J. Brent Kooistra, pediatric allergist, Founder and Camp Medical Director of Camp WIKIDAS (Wisconsin Kids with Asthma). In association with the American Lung Association of Wisconsin, Camp WIKIDAS offers a weeklong summer camp for children ages 8-13 with moderate to severe asthma. The campers receive asthma education, facilitating better asthma control and fewer emergency room visits. Equally important, the kids have the chance to build friendships with other children facing similar challenges, and they receive support and encouragement to live normal, healthy lives. Since its inception in 1981, Camp WIKIDAS has helped over 1,500 Wisconsin children.
